The Reverend Angela Ford Nelson, PMP
Pastor, Mt. Zion UMC, Bishopville, SC
Sr. Project Manager
Pastor Angela Ford Nelson is the daughter of Albert and Dorothy Ford who reside in Wedgefield, South Carolina where she and her twin sister – Adrienne Ford White and brother – Albert Ford, Jr. grew up. She is a very proud auntie of several nieces and nephews; and the wife of The Reverend Ken Nelson, Congregational Specialist for the South Carolina Conference of the United Methodist Church.
Angela is a graduate of Winthrop University in Rock Hill, South Carolina, and she is currently a seminarian at Lutheran Theological Southern Seminary in Columbia, S.C. where she is pursuing her Master of Divinity. She has worked in the Financial Services industry for the past twenty years, and currently serves as the Director of Business Controls and Financial Management at IBM in Greenville. When she is not working in the Insurance Industry, Angela enjoys serving her community as a member of the Mental Health Board and the Board of Trustees for the UMC Advocate.
At the SC Annual Conference in June 2011, Reverend Nelson was appointed to serve as Pastor of Mt.ZionUnitedMethodistChurch in Bishopville, SC – Her first appointment!
Angela’s testimony can be found in the story of the “Sinful Woman” spoken of in Luke Chapter 7 – and you will often see her carrying her “Alabaster Box of Praise!”
Angela encourages us not to look upon the accomplishments of people, but to instead focus and believe on Jesus Christ – through whom ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE!
